Azurite Double-Nodule
Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Rudnyi Altai, Altaiskii Krai, Western-Siberian Region, Russia
A small cabinet specimen giving the appearance of an inverted snowman. This double, conjoined nodule of deep cobalt blue is a concretion formed as a secondary mineral to copper deposits in the famed Western Siberian region. Such concretions are humorously dubbed "blueberries" in the mineral hobby. Measuring 1.8 x 1.1 x 0.9 in (4.5 x 2.7 x 2.2 cm)
