Literature
Delomosne and Son, A Gathering of Glass (2010), no.8

In their catalogue, Delomosne and Son cite the present goblet as a remarkable example of the rarest of all baluster glasses. Whilst egg knops are exceptionally rare and considered by many to be the ultimate knop form in the baluster period, almost all recorded examples are teared. It is highly unusual to find a solid egg knop such as this. An egg-knopped goblet of similar size from the A C Hubbard Jr. Collection is illustrated by Ward Lloyd, A Wine Lover's Glasses (2000), pp.34 and 37, pl.31.
