A fine baluster wine glass, circa 1720-25

The round funnel bowl with a heavy solid base containing a small tear, resting on a collar, the stem with an opposing pair of teared balusters separated by a small cushion knop, over a folded conical foot, 15cm high

In their catalogue, Delomosne and Son note that the opposing balusters on this glass are particularly boldly conceived. A very similar glass from the James Hall Collection was sold by Bonhams on 17 December 2008, lot 44.
