A rare Lowestoft small plate and a tea canister, circa 1762-68

The plate painted in blue with flowering peony sprouting from rocks and birds in flight above, the rim with three trailing peony sprigs, 17.8cm diam, painter's numeral 6 inside footrim, the tea canister of octagonal shape, of Hughes-type with relief-moulded circular panels flanked by chrysanthemums and foliage, four roundels painted in blue with Chinese river scenes, a scroll border above the foot and a flower and scroll border at the shoulder, 9cm high, painter's numeral 5 (2)
