A Wedgwood black basalt potpourri vase and cover, circa 1805-10

Of squat campana form with two high loop handles, encaustic-painted in terracotta and white enamels with a formal palmette and stiff leaf borders, the pierced cover further picked out in subdued enamels, 23.6cm diam including handles, impressed WEDGWOOD (2)
