A pair of figural tazzas by John Ford and Co, Holyrood Glassworks, Edinburgh, circa 1870

Modelled as a gentleman and his female companion in frosted glass standing with one hand on their hips, he wearing a jacket and striped breeches, his left arm raised to support a basket upon his head, she wearing a bodice and striped skirt, her right arm supporting a pail upon her head, the shallow lipped trays with engraved ferns radiating from the centres, 26.5cm and 27.5cm high (2)
