A Roman amber glass phial-shaped unguentarium
Circa 1st Century A.D.
With uneven flared rim and elongated neck, the gently swelling body tapering to a pulled rounded peg base, 19.3cm high

This type of phial or unguentarium with a long body and pulled base are found in a variety of intentionally-coloured glass (cobalt-blue, manganese-purple, opaque white, amber), marbled, or naturally coloured.
