Doctor Who: A Screen-Used Original Space Station Model from the Fourth Doctor serial 'Shada',

1979/1980,
mixed media and card model, the prop of the 'Think Tank' space station used during the filming of the 'Shada' episodes, with practical effects damage from the ship's explosion in episode 4, with accompanying certificate of authenticity,
4 1/4in (11cm) high; 15in (38cm) wide; 10in (25.5cm) deep

Footnotes

The present prop is the only large-scale model of the 'Think Tank' space station used in the original production of the 'Shada' serial, which was originally intended to be aired during Season 17 of Doctor Who. Operated by the Foundation for the Study of Advanced Sciences and visited by the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker), the station was notably destroyed in an explosion by the malevolent Krargs. The present model displays the damage caused by this practical effects sequence.

'Shada' was written by Douglas Adams, but production strikes in 1980 resulted in the hotly anticipated serial being unfinished. After a shortened VHS reconstruction was released in 1992, it was finally released in 2018 using re-recorded dialogue and supplementary animation.
