Gifted by Richard Belenski, a friend of Hendrix since the 1960s.
Ex-Lot 228, Rock, Pop and Guitars, Bonhams Chelsea, 15th May 1997.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience performed a brief tour of Sweden in January 1968, including a show at the Konserthuset in Stockholm which they opened with a cover of 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. The accompanying letter of provenance confirms that the present ring was obtained in Stockholm in 1968, while Hendrix was touring Sweden.
