Diana Rigg's book collection provides a valuable insight into the great diversity of her acting career, the studious approach to many of her most notable roles, and how so many of her co-stars, directors, and colleagues held her in high regard. Some of the books were gifted directly to Rigg during or in preparation for her theatrical roles. In a copy of The Misanthrope given to Rigg shortly before her role in the play's Broadway run, the playwright Tony Harrison playfully inscribes You know how menopause makes us afraid of the great outdoors. With immense love.
