A Meissen figure of the Merchant's Wife, late 19th century

After the 18th century model by J.J. Kaendler, wearing a pink bodice and white skirt with blue flower pattern, seated at a desk with a pen and ink set and an open ledger, another book on her lap, a basket with bottles and various other items at her feet, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork, 15.5cm high, crossed swords mark in blue with one incised cancellation mark, incised model number 2654 (restoration to left arm and some losses to chair)
