A Meissen figure of a lady at a spinning wheel, late 19th century

After an 18th century model by J.J. Kaendler, seated in a high-backed, gilt-edged armchair holding a book in her right hand, a spinning-wheel on a gilt-edged table to her side, wearing a purple jacket decorated with green dots, a striped patterned underskirt and a pale yellow overskirt embellished with puce flower motifs, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork, 15.8cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised model number 2685, impressed 62 (restored)
