A Meissen group allegorical of Sculpture, late 19th century

After the model by M.V. Acier of 1774, depicting three winged putti, one standing with a hammer and chisel by a female bust on a stand, another seated sketching the bust and a third seated holding a sculpture (the so-called 'Torso Belvedere'), all on rockwork on a lobed, flat-backed base moulded with foliate and Vitruvian scroll borders, 20.8cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised 'No.4', impressed numeral 143, painter's number 37. in red
