A large Meissen group, second half 19th century

After the 18th century model by M.V. Acier, in the round, depicting a gentleman holding a violin and a lady next to him holding a cup and a scroll, a flower basket at her feet, the reverse with a girl playing the lute on a high rockwork base embraced by a boy lower down on the base, below them a putto playing a tambourine seated on a goat being fed by another putto, a third putto holding a dove to the gentleman's right, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork, 35cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, indistinct incised marks (some restoration)
