A pair of Meissen figural candlesticks together with a Meissen candlestick allegorical of Winter, late 19th century

The pair modelled by Ernst August Leuteritz depicting a shepherd and shepherdess holding fruit and with a leaping dog and a recumbent sheep, respectively, each in front of a tree with leafy branches rising to a foliate sconce and drip-tray, on a high scrollwork base edged in turquoise and gilding; the single candlestick after a model by Peter Reinicke depicting an elderly man and a boy by a brazier, a scrollwork shaft issuing from a tree surmounted by a foliate drip-tray and sconce, the circular base moulded with a formal rope-twist border, 36cm and 29.5cm high, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue (one incised cancellation mark to Winter), incised model numbers F 131 and F 132 (the pair) and 2547 (Winter), impressed numbers (minor restoration and chips) (3)
