A Sèvres double-handled cup and saucer (tasse à toilette et soucoupe), dated 1772

Of the third size, painted by Michel-Gabriel Commelin with a central rose spray surrounded by undulating flower garlands and gilt husk bands, the rims with gilt dentil borders and triangular panels with blue dotted ground and gilt stripes, the cup: 4cm high, the saucer: 9.3cm diam., interlaced LL monograms with date letter T and painter's mark cm for Commelin in blue, incised MC (2)
