A small Sèvres hard-paste porcelain teapot and cover (théière Calabre), circa 1780

Decorated with tooled vertical gilt bands enclosing flowers and gilt dots and gilt trellis bands enclosing flowerheads, the spout with gilt foliate garlands and the handle with gilt husks, the cover similarly decorated and with gilt fruit finial, 10.8cm high, crowned interlaced LL monogram in underglaze-blue, gilder's mark for Vincent le jeune in iron-red, incised AP (some restoration to finial and top part of spout) (2)
