A large Sèvres blue-ground sugar bowl and cover (pot à sucre 'Calabre'), circa 1770

Of the first size, the blue ground reserved with gilt-edged cartouches enclosing putti and trophies 'en grisaille' surrounded by berried laurel garlands, gilt foliate and dotted borders to the rims, the cover applied with flower bud finial, 11cm high, interlaced LL monogram and dot in blue, incised mark (some flaking to gilt rim) (2)
