*Incredibly rare 1 of just 26 believed Wide Body AMGs
*Beautiful Blue-Black metallic paint
*The pinnacle of Mercedes performance and luxury
The Mercedes-Benz 560SEC AMG Wide Body is one of the most iconic AMG vehicles ever built. Based on the standard 560 SEC, the AMG featured the same 300bhp 5.6-litre V8, but bored out to 6.0-litres – boosting the power to 385bhp. This additional power helped propel the car from 0-60 in under 6 seconds – a phenomenal figure at the time for a vehicle of this stature. Not only that, but the AMG model was also fitted with a bespoke 'Wide Body' aero kit, stiffened suspension, larger disc brakes, and much more. Inside, the AMG was also equipped with electronically adjustable Recaro seats, additional walnut wood trim, an AMG specific steering wheel, and chrome door sills. It is the opinion of many that the 560 SEC AMG was, and still ,is the ultimate AMG Mercedes.
Built in October 1989, the example shown here was originally ordered new from a dealership in Munich, Germany. Various optional extras were fitted to the car from factory such as automatic climate control, a fire extinguisher and heated front seats. The car is in very good condition inside and out, and features the correct Blue-Black metallic paint and black leather interior. Overall the car runs well and is in very good condition, and comes with a good history file. Imported to the UK by its enthusiast owner in 2017, the AMG has sat in his private collection virtually unused. Benefitting from a recent service and MOT the AMG is ready to use. The official production figures for the Wide Body AMGs are unknown, but believed to be just 26 - the cars are exceptionally rare and difficult to come by. This is a prime opportunity to own one of the greatest Mercedes AMGs ever produced.
