A White-Metal Mounted Powder-Flask For Percussion Target Rifles
By James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, Mid-19th Century

With bag-shaped body covered in black pigskin, the threaded top with blued cut-off spring and adjustable nozzle, the latter graduated from 70 to 90 Grains and with sprung cut-off lever; together with a brass-mounted powder powder-flask for longarms, the bag-shaped body with bevelled edge, and adjustable nozzle stamped 'G. & J.W. Hawksley', and a shot-flask with bag-shaped leather body stamped '1lb', graduated brass nozzle stamped 'Dixon & Sons', and suspension ring (3)
