William Badcock (?1630s-1698) was apprenticed to and made free of Ann Simmons of the Longbowstringmakers' Company in 1656. He was elected Upper Warden (effectively Master) in 1669 and between 1673 and 1685 his name appears regularly in the records of the Goldsmiths' and Cutlers' Companies. For a full account of his career see Leslie Southwick, idem, pp. 35-39
