An Unusual Prussian 1889 Pattern Officer's 'Dragon' Sword
By E.& F. Hörster, Solingen, Circa 1900

With fullered blade (some old patination) stamped with manufacturer's details on one side of the ricasso, regulation brass hilt cast with a dragon on a shield on the side-guard, the latter with three bars converging to form the knuckle-guard, pommel-cap, and ribbed wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, in its steel scabbard (originally nickel-plated) with two rings for suspension
