With two-stage turn-off barrel, round frame with finger extensions and retaining some original nickel-plated finish, circular hard-rubber mounted side-plates, the left one partly chequered and detachable, stamped 'Le Protector. Système E Turbiaux' and 'Bte S.G.D.G. En France Et A L'Etranger. Paris' respectively, sprung palm-operated hammer, and sliding safety-stop

Jacques-Edmond Turbiaux was a gunmaker and inventor recorded in Paris between 1880-95. He invented the 'Le Protector' in 1883
