With swamped two-stage barrel (some pitting, one barrel lug repositioned, the other replaced), octagonal breech struck on the top flat with barrelsmith's mark, a cockerel between 'IP' in a shield (similar to Neue Støckel, 3503/4) and with the Nuremberg mark, plain tang (repaired), flat lock struck with the spur mark of Hans Stopler (Neue Støckel, 1056/8), and with enclosed wheel within a circular bracket, foliate engraved pan-shield with sprung manually-operated pan-cover with release button, chiselled cock operating on a chiselled spring between a pillar bridle secured by two screws, and chiselled pivoting safety-catch acting on a chiselled external spring, fruitwood full stock (repaired and partly replaced) inlaid with white staghorn or bone engraved with scrolling foliage (some replacements) within horn line borders, along the bottom with central lines of guilloche, and around the tang with a foliated grotesque mask, compressed ball-pommel of slightly fluted octagonal section inlaid en suite and involving alternating masks (pommel-cap replaced and engraved with the arms of Saxony), foliate engraved horn ramrod-pipe and fore-end cap, slender iron trigger-guard, belt hook, and later iron-tipped ramrod
