A German 18-Bore Percussion D.B. Sporting Gun
By Chr. Sturm A Suhl, No. 394, Circa 1865

With sighted barrels etched with alternate twist and damascus bands, etched damascus rib signed in full in silver capitals, breeches engraved with a silver-inlaid foliate scroll between, long tapering tang decorated en suite and including owner's initials in silver gothic letters, back-action locks, hammers and safety-bolsters all decorated en suite, highly figured half-stock (butt with old bruising) with cheek-piece and chequered grip, border engraved white-metal mounts decorated with foliate designs and including scroll trigger-guard with a gundog in a landscape on the bow, white-metal ramrod-pipes, blued sling mounts, and horn-tipped ramrod, probably original
