A Rare .577 Percussion 1858 Pattern Rifled Service Pistol With Detachable Shoulder-Stock
Dated 1859

With leaf-sighted barrel rifled with four grooves, plain tang, dated border engraved flat lock engraved 'Tower' and with 'VR' crowned on the tail, figured full stock stamped with supplier's name 'Moxham' on the side flat, rounded butt pierced for the shoulder-stock and indistinctly stamped with inspector's marks, and regulation brass mounts, the shoulder-stock (lanyard ring missing) with border engraved steel attachment mount with spring catch, and with brass butt-plate, and stirrup ramrod (some wear and light rust patination overall) Ordnance proof marks (2)
