Of regulation pattern, the barrel with bright bore and stamped 'N.S.B.' (for Native State Baroda) to the left of the back-sight, plain lock (chained nipple-protector replaced), full stock stamped on one side with circular Birmingham arsenal mark dated 1888 and circular 'Fort William Arsenal' mark, and the tang of the butt-plate numbered '634', Ordnance proof marks
