A Dutch 15-Bore Flintlock Civic Guard Musket
Indistinctly Signed L. Thone (?) A Amsterdam, Late 18th Century

With barrel retained by two spring-held brass barrel bands, the forward one of open form, carrying the fore-sight and a sling mount, and also forming the ramrod-entry, breech with traces of Amsterdam mark, plain tang, signed rounded lock, figured three-quarter stock, butt numbered '409' on the right side, regulation brass mounts including engraved side-plate and trigger-guard (tang broken) in the English fashion, sling loops, original steel ramrod, and associated socket bayonet (some wear and pitting) (2)
