With browned twist sighted barrel with bayonet mount on right side towards the muzzle and rifled for a belted ball, calibrated folding adjustable back-sight, plain tang, signed border engraved back-action lock stamped with an inspector's mark, figured full stock (old bruising) stamped with inspector's marks, regulation brass mounts including hinged rectangular patch-box (repaired) numbered '17323' on the inside, serial numbered butt-plate with crowned double-headed eagle on the heel tang, escutcheon engraved with crowned cypher of Nicholas I, fore-end cap, and brass-tipped steel ramrod
