Born in Manhattan and educated at Parsons School of Design, Barry Kieselstein-Cord worked as an art director in advertising before pursuing a career as an artist-jeweller. His work was first introduced by Georg Jensen in New York in 1973. Today, his work is sold across a number of boutique locations in America, Europe, Moscow and the Far East. His jewellery is characterised by tactile matt-gold sculptural forms inspired by antiquity and the natural world. His 'Women of the World' cuff bracelet is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (accession number 1995.380.2).
