With an Introduction by the author, 3 vol., etched frontispieces and 21 plates by Cruikshank, occasional spotting to plates, volume 3 with some offsetting from plate to text and small ink smudges on p.20, publisher's green cloth, upper and lower covers with motif in blind, lettered in gilt on spine, light yellow endpapers, some bumps to edges and corners, 2 short nicks to tops of spines [Gimbel A29, conforms to second copy; Smith I:4, note g], 8vo, Chapman and Hall, 1841

A nice copy of the third edition of Oliver Twist, the first to include an introduction by the author. It was published on 15 May 1841.
