DICKENS (CHARLES)

[Pickwick Papers] A collection of spare parts, text and illustrations, letters and ephemera, including:
(i) Parts 1 & 4 of The Library of Fiction, a group of folders of incomplete spare parts, 16 wood-engravings by W. Strange (1847), 12 wood-engravings by A.B. Frost, (1895), several letters from Thomas Hatton and one from Strange etc., contained in solander box
(ii) Two parcels containing loose or disbound incomplete spare original parts, including a series of folders numbered 1-19/20 with text, plates, wrappers and some adverts, in brown paper
(iii) Further collection of some 30 folders of spare original parts, some seemingly derived from sets supplied by Hatton, Byram or "Mr Murray", together with an envelope relating to Heath's illustrations, including another letter from Hatton, in green portfolio and slipcase, various dates
