[Pickwick Papers] A collection of spare plates from the first and later editions, comprising:
(i) Collection of 44 card folders containing approximately 273 loose etched plates, labelled by Collis with the plate caption, and the part, plate and page number, each containing between 2 and 9 (mostly upwards of 6) loose plates in various states, including sets of two 1837 editions with and without captions, and the 1866 edition, some foxed and frayed or torn at edges
(ii) Folder containing some loose text and plates from the Gadshill edition of Dickens
(iii) [Catalogue] The Pickwick Exhibition Held at the New Dudley Gallery... July 22nd to August 28th, 1907... Compiled and Edited by B.W. Matz and J.W.T. Ley, illustrations, publisher's green pictorial wrappers, The Dickens Fellowship, 1907
(iv) "Pickwick". A Farcical Comedy... Adapted by Lawrence Grant, publisher's green printed wrappers, inscribed on envelope "received from Mr Hatton", Hollywood, Jackson & Leyton, and Leicester, Thomas Hatton, 1936, 8vo
