Asia Minor, Thrace, Greece..], 3 vol. in 2, FIRST EDITION, AUTHOR'S PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed "Donum Authoris" on 2 titles, engraved vignette after Gravelot on titles, engraved pictorial dedication leaf, 178 engraved plates and maps (some folding), title to volume 1 and 3 plates in volume 2 laid down (plates 19 and 20 cut to size and bound before title), one plate shaved, 3 with tears repaired, some spotting and off-setting, volume 1 later half calf over marbled boards (rebacked in calf gilt), volume 2 modern half morocco [Atabey 965; Blackmer 1323; Cobham-Jeffery, p 52], folio (400 x 240mm.), W. Bowyer; and sold by J. and P. Knapton, 1743-1745
