HAMMOND (BRYAN, editor) Josephine Baker, FIRST EDITION, IN A BINDING DESIGNED BY MARK COCKRAM, illustrations, black morocco by Mark Cockram (signed "M.C. 94" inside lower cover), sides with central panels (linking across spine) within a sunken thin metal band, with an all-over abstract design of coloured morocco inlays and onlays built up towards the centre with a messed rag effect, blind lettered facsimile of Baker's signature bridging the spine, hand-dyed paper endpapers and upper edge, original gate-fold case with morocco onlay and dyed paper decorations on the flaps, leather ties (one with small loss at end), 4to, Jonathan Cape, 1988
