Please note this work is possibly a version of the painting by the artist that was exhibited in the Académie des Beaux-Arts, Paris, 1857, described as 'La Reine Marie-Antoinette au Petit Trianon'. The exhibited painting was known to have been purchased by the Empress Eugenie in 1857 and was later installed in her salon des dames at the Château de Saint-Cloud.
