A Cypriot black-topped red polished ware jug
Middle Bronze Age, circa 2000-1800 B.C.
With beaked spout and globular body, the handle dividing in two at the shoulder, a pierced lug at the base of the neck, with incised zig-zag and nodule decoration, inscribed in capital letters in white ink: 'CYPRUS.', 18cm high
