An Amlash pottery bull rhyton
Circa 10th-8th Century B.C.
The hollow vessel narrowing at the waist and widening to the rounded hind-quarters, with prominent neck hump, the muzzle extending into a long tapering spout, with curved horns and rounded eyes, small pierced ears below, with vertical ridges for the dewlap and tail, which terminates in six strands, genitalia on the underside, on four tapering legs, ridged attachment loops behind the head and at the base of the tail, 47cm long, 40cm high
