All made by C Hindley & Sons
The oval backs carved with a central coronet monogram and slimily with a coronet and two entwined S's above stuff-over seats on turned and fluted tapering legs, stamped to the underside, 45cm wide x 44cm deep x 95cm high, (17.5in wide x 17in deep x 37in high) (5)

Footnotes

C. Hindley and Sons are noted as cabinet makers active c.1820-30 and were based at 154 Oxford St., London. Their name also appears on several other documented pieces including a George IV yew and ebony inlaid kidney shaped desk (See Conn., November 1978; V & A archives] and G. Beard and C. Gilbert, eds., Dictionary of English Furniture Makers, 1660-1840, 1986, p.433).
