After Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, modelled as boys in highland and medieval costumes, both resting by oak tree stumps, signed and with impressed marks to bases, both with losses,

Footnotes

Lord Ranald Gower, the youngest son of the second Duke of Northumberland was sculpted by Carrier-Belleuse in 1852. He went on to become a sculptor himself, studying under Carrier-Belleuse.
Lord Albert Gower was the third son of the second Duke of Sutherland.
Ernest Carrier-Belleuse was principal modeller for Minton between 1850-55.
