A George III mahogany serpentine chest

In the manner of Thomas Chippendale
The four long graduating drawers with gilt brass handles on bracket feet, 104cm wide x 57cm deep x 83.5cm high, (40.5in wide x 22in deep x 32.5in high)

Footnotes

Aspects of the cabinet-work on this serpentine chest parallel those found on Thomas Chippendale's furniture at Dumfries House, Ayrshire. Mainly the thin red wash visible to the underside and back of the chest and the laminated blocking behind the bracket feet (see separate additional image), both known to be Chippendale characteristics.
