A repoussé gold amulet case
Persia, 11th-13th Century

of semi-circular form with lifting lid with tubular fitting, suspension loops to both sides, decorated in repoussé to each side with a cartouche containing perching birds, the border with a band of inscription in kufic, the sides with further bird motifs
3.5 X 3 cm.
