A large Kashan lustre pottery albarello
Persia, 12th/13th Century

of multifaceted form a splayed foot with flattened shoulder, short neck and everted rim, decorated in a yellowish-gold lustre on a white and turquoise ground with alternating panels filled with pseudo-Kufic inscriptions and stylised floral motifs, the shoulder with a band of inscriptions in naskhi, the interior of the neck with further inscription
32 cm. high.
