the single-edged watered steel blade of curved form with flattened spine, the hilt with gold overlaid decoration to centre of grips consisting of inscription in nasta'liq, the silver-gilt pommel and cross-guard mounted with diamond and emerald-set floral motifs, paste, the wood scabbard clad in purple velvet with gem-set mounts ensuite, repoussé silver chape and upper mount, fitted hinged wood case
