of rhyton form on a splayed foot and two claw feet with flattened rim surmounted by two goats, the foliate handle terminating at the lower end in a kneeling figure of a peri holding a lota, stamped O.M to base
15.5 cm. high; 515 g.

Please note that there is an engraved inscription to the underside of the rim reading PEGS - MY LOVE ALWAYS - JOHN / 20TH OCTOBER 1971 An original drawing of a similar Askos jug by Oomersi Mawji is in the British Museum (2011, 3014.140).
