the hand-painted pencil, watercolour and gouache costume designs featuring showgirl 'Melody' in white and brown dresses with accompanying headpieces and fur accessories, with pencil annotations Sepia Farm No. Town Girl written at the top of each, unsigned, unframed, larger; 6in x 14in (15cm x 35.5cm), smaller; 4 1/2in x 13 1/2in (11.5cm x 34cm) (2)

Footnotes

No expense was spared with Cobb's outfits, here he has designed two typical 1950's ensembles well-matched with the expected accessories. When made up by the seamstresses, no detail was left out, especially real fur!
