Ronald Cobb (British, 1907-1977): A large signed original costume design of a Murray's Cabaret Club showgirl in a blue and white dress,

1950's,
the hand-painted pencil, watercolour and gouache costume design featuring showgirl 'Laurel' in a blue and white off-the-shoulder dress with matching headpiece, with a small watercolour study of a side view on the same sheet, and a pencil annotation Rain No., signed and dated faintly by the artist to the bottom left corner, unframed, 9in x 17in (23cm x 43cm)

Footnotes

One of Cobb's more sophisticated designs, similar to the glamour encapsulated in a Horst P. Horst model from Vogue in the 1950's, or inspired by a Cecil Beaton costume design design.
