the hand-painted pencil, watercolour and gouache costume design featuring a showgirl in a revealing top, silver waistband, and large silver hoop-skirt with matching headpiece, unsigned, mounted, framed and glazed, sight 10 3/4in x 17in (27 x 43cm)

Footnotes

This design reflects the costumier's dual profession of theatre designer and chic dress designer for London's high society. finished with metallic paint, it shows the level of detail he went to in order to portray the desired effect.
