銅鎏金夏瑪巴像 或為六世夏瑪巴米龐確吉旺楚
西藏 約十六世紀
This wizened lama probably represents the Sixth Shamarpa, Mipam Chokyi Wangchug (1584-1630). The gilded bronze is cast in a 16th-century style shared by numerous Shamarpa portraits that are clad in plain inner robes and extravagant outer robes covered with chased floral patterns. The lotus pedestals wide and plump petals are also characteristic. In addition to two other Shamarpa portraits within this sale, see HAR 7725, 10586 & 13395.
