A Meissen KPM silver-gilt-mounted teapot and cover, circa 1725

Each side painted with a chinoiserie scene depicting figures engaged in various pursuits, small details heightened with gilding, surrounded by gilt scrollwork cartouches filled with Böttger lustre and edged with iron-red and purple scrolls, scattered insects to the sides and indianische Blumen to the spout and handle, a gilt strapwork border under the rim, the cover with a continuous chinoiserie scene, the mount with marks for Elias Adam, Augsburg, 12.7cm high, KPM and crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 29. to both (2)
